              Offering two Pilates classes per week

              Kathleen Zickel is a  certified PILATES instructor, offering Pilates classes, and private instruction, at White River Yoga. Kathleen’s regular classes meet on Wednesday at 5:00pm, and on Friday at 6:45am.   In addition, Kathleen schedules private Pilates instruction, at White River Yoga, on the Pilates Reformer—a specialized piece of equipment that enables the user to work all parts of their body, safely, and effectively. Pilates is great for any age, or level of exercise experience.

              Developed by J.H. Pilates, the Pilates Method is an exercise system focused on improving the stability, flexibility, strength, balance and tone of the body, by targeting the postural muscles deep within the abdominals. It places focus on core stability, correct body alignment and proper breathing. Each exercise is centered on the quality of movement, not the number of repetitions or level of resistance. Participants should wear loose-fitting clothing. Mats are provided, or you may bring your own.

              Kathleen Zickel
              Kathleen Zickel has been teaching fitness classes for over 20 years. She has held certifications with Body Training Systems and the Aerobics and Fitness Association of America. Currently, she is a Certified PILATES Instructor. She is the owner of Balanced Fitness Solutions instructing fitness classes (both group and private), throughout the greater Muskegon area. Currently, her group and private classes are taught at White River Yoga in Montague.  She also instructs Pilates at the Muskegon Yoga Center. For more information call 616-916-0668.
